BoArding and DookIn’ Daycare at BRFR

When boarding or dookin' daycare with us, your fur babies will get the care and love while you are away.

Text or email uPdates

We understand leaving your ferret with someone new or away from home can be stressful. With this, we ensure that you receive updates about your baby when you would like free of charge. On vacation and want to see photos? We will be happy to send you some!

ADMINISTERING Medications

We have had years of experience caring for sick ferrets, administering medications, tick and flea, etc. At BRFR, we will write down every time a medication is given, behavior changes, and any additional information. Once you pick up your ferret from boarding, you will be given the notes and chart, as we like to call their Report Card.

Playtime and Services

At our rescue, your babies will get hours of supervised playtime, and if they need litterbox training, bite training, nail trim, bath or ear cleaning. We offer them free!

Due to us running our Rescue out of our home, confirming and arriving at your scheduled times is extremely important.

Separate Housing:

If you have 2 or more ferrets that will need to be housed separately for either daycare or boarding. $2.00 will need to be added per hour for daycare or per night for boarding. Once you submit your Boarding Form, an invoice and a way to pay will be available. If you choose to pay cash, please let us know.

Disclaimer: If you notice that your ferret has diarrhea, abnormal stool (this includes black tar, seedy, green, watery, etc), falls unexpectedly sick, or is in not in healthy shape to be with us, please take them to the vet beforehand. Due to easily spread sickness, BRFR will not take in ferrets that show signs of vet emergency. If your ferret is diagnosed, they will need to be on their medication for at least 24 hours before we are able to take them. Even though BRFR does daycare and boarding, does not mean we are able to take unexpected drop offs or last minute form submissions. Due to the needed space, cages, and cleaning needed to set up for an incoming ferret, we are unable to accept last minute drop offs unless approved. A waiver must be signed at drop off or printed out and signed before arrival (recommended), claiming that you understand the risks of bringing your ferret that has not been vaccinated.

What to bring?

BRFR has extra supplies, bedding and toys, however we recommend on bringing along some of your ferret(s) belongings to help with stress and to make them comfortable.

Needed:

  • Current Food (Even Raw fed!)

  • Medications (If applicable)

Recommended:

  • Favorite blankets and/or bedding

  • Favorite Toy

  • Item with your scent

  • Favorite treat (If applicable) (Can be raw treats, egg, etc.)

  • Any extras you would like! (This can include their own cage, own water and food containers, etc.)

What if we are unavailable/booked on your interested days?

In the times we are unable to board your ferret(s) due to space, availability and emergencies; we have located some other vet offices and boarding centers that do exotic boarding below, along with their clickable links, location and number.
